It’s Autumn!
The Friends of the Boxford Council on Aging are proud to support vital community programs like the Intergenerational Playgroup and our Women’s Health Initiative. The Playgroup, headed by Laurie Rowen and Denise Andrus brings seniors together with young children once a month for socialization, conversation, and play. Studies show both children and older adults benefit from these connections. We also kicked off our Women’s Health Initiative this month with a very special morning event: Embracing Aging. Hosted by Dr. Carmela Mancini of the Women’s Wellness Center of Northshore we explored the changes women experience in their bodies, brains, and overall performance —and challenged the idea that aging means decline!
For more information on the Intergenerational Playgroup please call the Boxford Council on Aging at 978-887-3591. And follow this link to learn more about Dr. Mancini and the Women’s Wellness Center of the Northshore: https://womenswellnesscenterns.com
From our Holiday Maker’s Market to our celebration of Friendsgiving, we have a whole host of special events planned to help Boxford’s Seniors welcome Autumn!
